Planmatics Inc. has developed software that creates schedules for nurses. Nurses go to an internet site to choose their preferred shifts. The software program then takes into account factors like seniority and labor regulations to generate a schedule. The goal of the new software program is to give nurses greater control over the time they spend working and eliminate the appearance of favoritism in schedule making.
