2 firms reach out to Hispanics
Many employers are realizing that the Hispanic component of their workforce is rapidly growing. In response to this, two employers in Chicago are planning an event that they hope will allow them to get to know their employees and at the same time make their employees feel more at home in the US. The event will go beyond the typical company picnic by offering area ministers providing outreach services, registration for English-as-second-language and citizenship classes, and family-centered seminars. Everyone involved feels that this is a good start toward making the community come together.
