Chrysler and G.M. Resume Union Talks
Negotiations between Chrysler and G.M. and the United Auto Workers have resumed. The big three U.S. automakers, Chrysler ,G.M., and Ford, gave the union their initial offers in late August. The automakers are looking to cut costs by proposing a wage freeze and possible job cuts. The United States automakers are suffering serious losses to Asian carmakers.
