Unite (Union of Needletrades, Industrial and Textile Employees) and HERE (Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International Union) have voted to merge. Both are very strong unions that aggressively attempt to organize nonunion workers. Through the merger the unions will increase their financial resources and add strength to their organizing drives.
