Human Rights Charges Still Gnaw at Coca-Cola
Human Rights violations have remained an issue at Coca-Cola Co. even after a lawsuit filed by an international labor group was dismissed last year. Activists recently gathered outside a company shareholder meeting to protest labor violations in Colombia. Following the lawsuit, Coca-Cola executives promised to conduct an independent investigation of the charges regarding their workers in Columbia, but this investigation was later cancelled.
