Domestic partner coverage growing, group study says
According to a study by a gay rights advocacy group, more private employers are introducing domestic-partner health insurance benefits to gays. The pressure to add benefits comes from the Massachusetts Supreme Court decision legalizing marriage for same-sex couples. Employees may also find that domestic-partner coverage is good for business as the report concluded that providing such benefits enhances morale, productivity, recruiting and competitiveness.
