Consumer Confidence Rises on Job Outlook
U.S. consumer confidence has risen, spurred by strong employment gains. A private forecasting body said its index of consumer confidence rose to 93.2 in May from a revised 93.0 in April. The upturn in the job market has eased concerns about rising gas prices and escalating tensions overseas.
