Child labour challenge toughens
A new report from the International Labour Organization indicates that over ten million children, particularly young girls under the age of 14, are performing domestic work and facing long hours and unsafe working conditions. In many countries this work is viewed as normal and as a preparation for marriage. The problem is so widespread that eradicating child labor in homes is an immense challenge.
