Concerns in Germany Over Dearth of Female Executives
A recent report has shown that only 3.7% of senior managers in Germany are women. Some have speculated that this disparity is due to the expense of providing childcare and Germany?s three-year maternity entitlement, which encourages women to leave the workforce. For this reason, the supervisory board chief of Deutsche Bank has called for the targeted promotion of women in order to right the imbalance.
