Mismatching workers, jobs a costly mistake
According to a survey by Chicago-based SHL, a global provider of workforce solutions, employers lose a total of $105 billion a year by mismatching workers and jobs. Putting people in the wrong jobs has led to the illusion of a talent shortage in the U.S. Faced with a growing number of job applicants, many companies are now using competency and behavioral tests to identify the right candidate. Tests are useful because they help eliminate bias and stereotyping from the hiring process.
