Workers feeling overworked, underpaid
According to three new surveys, workers frustrated by unfair pay and long hours are starting to move into new jobs. 58 percent of workers gave better pay and benefits as the top reason they would consider a new job offer. African-Americans and Hispanics are more likely to feel that they are being compensated unfairly and these perceptions are backed up by Labor Department statistics. Companies that do not address issues of fair compensation and overwork will have to deal with increased turnover.
