Judge Orders Agency to Disclose Safety Records
In a ruling issued Friday, a federal judge ordered the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to release the injury rates for companies identified as having unusually high numbers of worker injuries and illnesses. The agency?s previous policy of publishing only the names of the sites with worker injuries above an established norm made it difficult for the public to determine where it was riskiest to work.
