Union leaders vow all-out effort on Kerry's behalf
Union leaders are promising to step-up the effort to elect presidential candidate John Kerry. The AFL-CIO will spend $44million on campaign efforts, which is an increase of $3 million from the last presidential election. A key component of labor?s political strategy will be utilizing their rank and file. Union members are expected to play a key role in mobilizing voters.
