Ready or not, OT law coming
It is predicted that many businesses will be unprepared to implement changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act requirements concerning who is qualified for overtime. One reason that companies may not be ready is that many doubted that the new regulations would go into effect. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the changes will make more low-paid workers eligible for overtime but worker advocates contend that they will take overtime away from more workers than they give benefits to.
