Hotels in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington all filed complaints against Unite Here, claiming that the union has not bargained in good faith. According to the complaint the union has refused to seriously consider the hotels' contract offers, and is instead demanding two-year deals that would give the union greater bargaining power by expiring along with agreements in other U.S. cities. At this time both sides are preparing for a possible strike or lockout.
