Anger Over Tax Cuts as Jobs Leave Towns
In a competitive job market, many communities are using tax incentives to attract and retain companies. However, some companies leave town anyway, causing bitterness in the community. Officials in Galesburg, Illinois want to sue Maytag for closing its factory and terminating 1,600 jobs after receiving ?excess? tax breaks.
