Kroger Employees Ratify New Contract
Kroger employees have ratified a three-year contract with the grocery store. The president of United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1099 said that the agreement was only reached because a strike seemed like a worse alternative. As part of the new contract employees will begin contributing toward their monthly health care premiums beginning Jan. 1.
