Disney, union reach tentative pact
Walt Disney World and its largest union, the Service Trades Council, have reached a tentative deal after eight months of negotiations on a three-year contract. However, two of the six smaller unions that make up the Council were not present at the bargaining session and refuse to support the deal. The proposal gives workers a smaller bonus/raise package than the union had initially sought and it also increased health-care premiums. The proposal will head to a vote on Thursday, when workers will have the opportunity to approve or reject it.
