Generous raises buck the trend
While many large corporations have cut back on raises due to increased market competition, small businesses are actually giving out bigger pay increases and bonuses. Small firms are able to do this because they are growing at a faster rate than the national average and have leaner workforces. This increased focus on compensation and benefits is an important shift for small businesses.
