Study Is Critical of UC's Wages
A union-sponsored analysis found that the wages of many University of California (UC) service workers were too low to cover basic needs. Contract talks between the University of California and its service workers union reached an impasse last month, mostly over wages. A UC spokesman said that many of the figures in the study were not accurate because they used wage ranges instead of specific salary amounts for various job categories.
