More Help Wanted: Older Workers Please Apply
After years of encouraging employees to take early retirement, many companies are now seeking older workers because they have lower turnover rates any in many cases better work performance. Incentives are being offered at senior centers, churches and community libraries and include snowbird specials, discounts, and reading and discussion groups. These efforts are seeing results as more older people are finding the need to work for extra cash and health benefits and in some instances because they miss the 9 to 5 routine with fellow workers.
