United Airlines Faces Possible Strikes
United Airlines is facing the threat of a strike from two unions if the airline imposes another round of wage and benefit cuts. United is trying to persuade a judge to annul their pacts with the unions as they try to emerge from bankruptcy protection. The airline is also trying to get rid of most of its employees' pension plans, which they claim they can no longer afford. A strike could prove to be a huge financial burden for United.
