Labor standards help Cambodia keep customers
Facing stiff competition from other East Asian countries, Cambodian workers have developed a new strategy to keep global companies from looking elsewhere for cheap labor: better labor standards. In a unique move, Cambodian unions have advertised the better than expected working conditions to companies, in the hopes that large corporations will choose not to be associated with the stigma of sweatshop labor.
