Voice Actors Reach Video Game Deal
Video game voice actors have reached a tentative agreement in their negotiations with game publishers. The settlement calls for a 36 percent rise in minimum wages paid over 3 1/2 years and various benefit increases. However, the contract does not provide for any form of residuals on top-selling games, a demand companies had fought. The voice actors were debating whether to strike over demands for profit-sharing on top-selling games, though some members argued that actors lacked the kind of clout needed to financially damage the industry.
