Office of future looks a lot like a gym
The office of the future will include workstations that combine a computer, desk and treadmill into one unit, if researchers at the Mayo Clinic have their way. Dr. James Levine has developed a plan to keep employees fit and trim while maintaining the efficiency of the corporate workplace by creating an alternative environment to today's cubicle culture. Even employees already in shape may find the office of the future handy - being upright is likely to make them more alert and focused, and thus more productive.
