Gap Lists Plants Abusing Workers
Embracing a platform of "social responsibility," Gap Inc. has provided a report detailing the inhumane practices of several plants the company uses to make its clothes. Spurred by the most egregious violations, the company severed ties with 70 factories last year, but the parent of Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic stores continued to contract with hundreds of overseas factories that mistreated its workers, according to the report.
