Mexicans at Home Abroad
As some illegal Mexican immigrants working in the United States near retirement age, it is becoming increasingly unclear where they will live after their working lives are over. Mexico could hardly cope with millions of returning immigrants, but the United States is also unprepared to deal with millions of poor, aging immigrants, eking out a living without recourse to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid or most other forms of federal assistance.
