Refugees From Katrina Scraping for Work
With their homes and cities destroyed, evacuees of Hurricane Katrina have begun desperately hunting for work in the cities and towns where they found themselves stranded after the storm. Many have launched their search with no transportation and skills of limited immediate value. For many job seekers, though, the search is unlikely to be easy; hundreds of thousands of people are without homes or work, so the demand for jobs is likely to be much greater than the supply of available employment.
