Kerry Joins Fight Against Prop. 75 as Democrats Try to Boost Turnout
Senator John Kerry has been imported by union leaders to join the campaign against Proposition 75, which, if approved this November, would limit unions' political expenditures in California. Joined by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa at a news conference outside a downtown Los Angeles firehouse, Kerry said Schwarzenegger's proposal to curb union political spending was part of a national effort to give Republicans and corporations an unfair edge in governing.
