Home Depot Pays a Disabled Ex-Worker
Home Depot Inc. has agreed to pay $75,000 to a mentally disabled former employee whose supervisor fired her without first consulting the employee's job coach. The settlement may have broad implications for severely disabled workers. The retail giant has been accused of violating the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 by failing to notify the employee's coach of disciplinary problems.
