Chinese Sofa Factory Workers Go on Strike
A strike has broken out at a Chinese factory for Italian sofa maker DeCoro, where workers claim they were beaten by their foreign supervisor amid a dispute over pay cuts. Staff said production had stopped with nearly 3,000 workers staying away to protest an alleged attempt by management to cut wages. The workers claim that beatings are regularly doled out at the factory.
