Yes, Immigration May Lift Wages
A new research paper has revealed that an influx of immigrants in recent years may in fact have caused wages to increase. Previous assumptions by economists were that, if immigrants came into the country, supply would rise, thus lowering wages. However, new research with changed economic assumptions has presented an alternate view. For instance, hiring foreign-born workers to do one job may require hiring more native-born workers with similar skills.
