As the traditional divide blurs between religious and civic life in America, the workplace has become less secular. In 2001, the Bush administration stepped up federal support for religious involvement in workplace issues by establishing a Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. Churches are increasingly being seen as recruitment centers for corporations.
