As Transit Talks Drag On, Some Suspect a Slowdown
There are suspicions that transit workers in New York City are engaging in a slowdown as their contract with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority nears an impasse. Local 100 of the Transport Workers Union, which represents the workers, said that it had no information on any slowdown. If the union coordinated or directed such an action, it could be judged to be a violation of state law and result in stiff fines.
