A Move to Ease Safety Rules for Some Employers
Congress is looking to give small businesses more leeway in dealing with the regulations that federal workplace safety inspectors enforce. Such changes include exempting companies from penalties if they hire outside safety consultants, and requiring the federal government to pay legal fees for owners who successfully appeal safety citations.
