Transit Union and M.T.A. Resume Talks Over Contract
The transit workers union and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority have begun new talks in hopes of modifying the contract proposal that the union's rank and file rejected last month, authority and union officials said yesterday. Officials with Local 100 of the Transport Workers Union said they hoped to have a reworked deal soon to submit to the city's 33,700 subway and bus workers.
