GM Request to Delay Delphi Hearing Denied
General Motors asked a federal bankruptcy judge in New York to postpone a hearing on Delphi's request for permission to void its labor contracts, but the hearing was moving forward Wednesday, court officials said. GM said the postponement would have allowed more time to avoid a disruptive strike at the auto parts maker. The two companies have close ties, with Delphi being GM's main parts supplier.
