Hyundai Motor union starts partial strike over pay
For the 17th time in the last 18 years, Hyundai Motor Co. is facing a strike by its unionized workers. The 43,890-member union, the country?s most powerful, is demanding a 9.1 percent increase in salary and incentive payments, as well as other concessions. While the strike will only occur for a few hours each day, the company estimates that it will cost them over $100 million.
