Transit workers union wins ruling
The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority must recognize and negotiate with a union representing more than 200 supervisory and management employees, a state appeals court has ruled. The employees, described by a union lawyer as office workers in clerical and middle-management jobs, were transferred from county employment to the transit agency in a 1995 reorganization.
