Visas for Skilled Workers Still Frozen
A bill that would double the number of visas issue to highly skilled workers -- and clear a backlog in permanent residency applications for such workers -- has stalled again in Congress, this time mired in the debate over border security and immigration. Hi-tech firms, who have lobbied for such a measure for years, hope that the bill will be passed in the post-election "lame duck" Congressional session.
