VW workers agree to work more without pay rise
In a move which reflects both a long tradition of company/union cooperation and more recent trends towards longer European work weeks, Volkswagen and Germany's biggest industrial union agreed to a deal in which union workers at VW factories would work an additional four hours per week with no extra pay. The deal also assures continued high-volume production at the factories in question.
