Where Faith Abides, Employees Have Few Rights
Workers' rights running afoul of the separation of church and state has become a more frequent occurrence in recent years, as legislators, regulators, and judges hold that employment laws and regulations do not apply to religious organizations. While some argue that such protection is essential to the freedom of religious worship promised by the Constitution, others maintain that some organizations use the protection as a license to violate employees' rights.
