The highest-paid flight attendants in the industry, employed by Southwest Airlines and represented by Transport Workers Union Local 556 reached an agreement last Thursday. If approved by a membership vote, the contract would expire in 2019 and include increased wages, bonus opportunities, and work-rule adjustments. Southwest is also working on contracts for the rest of their 83% unionized employees.
