Survey shows growing U.S. shortage of skilled labor
The National Association for Business Economics’ recent survey indicates that 35% of firms have skilled labor shortages this July, up from last July’s 25%. The survey was of firms from many different industries, with 47% of them employing more than 1000 people. 44% of small businesses are also reporting more open skilled labor positions for which they receive either no or very few qualified applicants, reported from a different survey.
