Mitsubishi Materials set to settle 3,765 Chinese wartime labor redress claims
Japanese company Mitsubishi Materials will compensate 3,700 Chinese victims and their families who were forced into labor for the company’s war mines during WWII. Additionally, Mitsubishi Materials apologized to 900 American prisoners of war it also forced into labor. These apologies come during the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII.
