Judge rules T-Mobile violated U.S. labor law
The NLRB ruled against wireless company T-Mobile Thursday, stating the company broke labor regulations by requiring employees involved in an investigation into a sexual harassment claim to sign confidentiality agreements. The violations involved a woman in Maine who was forced to sign an agreement not to discuss her sexual harassment complaint under penalty of disciplinary action. The judge ruled that under the National Labor Relations Act, her right to discuss her case was protected, and that by restricting that right T-Mobile violated U.S. labor law. T-Mobile has 28 days to appeal the judge's decision.
