N.F.L. Cheerleaders’ Wage Fight Gains Momentum
Cheerleaders for NFL teams across the country have filed lawsuits demanding unpaid wages. Employees of the Buffalo Bills, the Jets, and the Cincinnati Bengals are among the few that have claimed they were not compensated for travel expenses, pricey beauty treatments, or time spent at practices. The cheerleaders were only paid approximately $125 for every game. They are currently fighting for a minimum wage increase and will most likely try to unionize in the future.
