Unions File New Wal-Mart Labor Complaint Related to Store Closure
In California, unions have filed a second complaint against Walmart. The company closed five stores in April, which caused 2,200 employees to be laid off. Walmart claimed that the stores were closed as a result of plumbing issues, but the unions believe that the company purposefully closed the stores to discriminate against striking workers. Some of the unions that submitted the complaint include the AFL-CIO and the United Food & Commercial Workers International Union.
