Consumers and Lawmakers Take Steps to End Forced Labor in Fishing
Over the last few weeks, several lawsuits have been filed against companies demanding that they disclose how much forced labor is involved in their supply chain. Two companies recently accused of forced labor are Nestle and Mars, both companies are large producers of seafood-based pet food. A senator recently proposed new legislation that would require all large companies to report their strategy on how to prevent the use of exploited workers in their supply chains.
