Carwash Owners in New York Sue City Over Unionization Rules
On Friday, carwash owners in New York City filed a lawsuit against a regulation that only requires unionized business to pay $30,000 for a license while non-unionized companies must pay $150,000. The lawsuit claims that this two tier system is illegal and that laws cannot be established that favor or discourage unionization. The carwash owners also claim that unionized businesses will have a competitive advantage if they are able to pay significantly less for a license.
